Cadbury World brings chocolate history, confectionery and family entertainment together at the home of one of Britain’s best-known chocolate brands. Located in Bournville, Birmingham, the attraction explores the story of Cadbury while giving visitors opportunities to watch chocolatiers at work, experiment with chocolate and enjoy interactive experiences.
Today’s Cadbury World has evolved considerably from the attraction many previous visitors may remember. New and revamped experiences include Cadbury Chocolate Quest, an updated Bournville Experience and a redesigned Have A Go zone.

Follow the Cadbury Story
The experience begins by exploring the origins of cacao before moving into the history of Cadbury and the development of chocolate in Britain.
Visitors can travel back to Victorian Birmingham through a recreation of Bull Street and learn how the Cadbury family developed its chocolate business before moving production to Bournville in 1879.
See How Cadbury Chocolate Is Made
Chocolate takes centre stage in the Chocolate Making zone, where Cadbury World demonstrators show visitors some of the techniques used to work with chocolate.
Interactive displays also explore how familiar Cadbury products are produced, including Creme Egg, Buttons and Roses.



Have a Go With Chocolate
The revamped Have A Go zone turns visitors from spectators into chocolate makers.
With guidance from the Cadbury World team, visitors can practise chocolate piping and tempering techniques and learn more about the skills involved in working with chocolate.
Take the Cadbury Chocolate Quest
Cadbury Chocolate Quest is the attraction’s interactive indoor ride.
Visitors board a Cadbury car and set off on a mission to collect the ingredients needed to make a Cadbury Dairy Milk bar. The experience combines physical sets, screens, lighting, sound and other sensory effects with an interactive game.
The attraction opened in 2024, replacing the former Cadabra ride.
Experience Chocolate in 4D
The 4D Chocolate Adventure adds another playful element to the visit.
Freddo and other Cadbury characters take audiences on an animated chocolate adventure enhanced with motion and sensory effects, creating an experience designed particularly with families in mind.
Discover the Story of Bournville
The revamped Bournville Experience explores the history of the village created around the Cadbury factory.
Displays examine the Cadbury family’s heritage, the development of Bournville and memorabilia from the company’s long history. The surrounding neighbourhood remains an important part of the Cadbury story and can also be explored using Cadbury World’s Bournville heritage trail.
More Than Chocolate
Families can extend their visit at the African Adventure Play Area, while seasonal entertainment and live shows are offered on selected dates.
The Cadbury World Café and shop can be visited before or after the main attraction. The shop carries an extensive selection of Cadbury chocolate, gifts and merchandise.
Tips for Planning Your Visit
Cadbury World is a self-guided attraction, allowing visitors to move through the experience at their own pace. The attraction recommends allowing at least two hours to explore its chocolate zones.
Advance booking is essential, with visitors entering the main attraction at the time shown on their ticket. Opening hours and entertainment schedules vary throughout the year, so current information should be checked before travelling.
Free visitor parking is available. Bournville railway station is also nearby and is served by trains from Birmingham New Street.
