Chocolate lovers will gather in Vienna when SchokoladeFest Wien returns January 30–31, 2027, transforming the historic Marx Halle into a weekend dedicated to chocolate, pastry and artisan food. The festival brings together international chocolatiers, bean-to-bar makers, pastry chefs and gourmet producers alongside tastings, demonstrations and hands-on experiences.
Launched in 2024, SchokoladeFest Wien has quickly developed into what organisers describe as Austria’s largest chocolate festival. More than 17,000 visitors attended in 2026, while the first three editions attracted more than 69,000 visitors combined. The festival regularly brings together more than 100 international exhibitors.
A Celebration of Chocolate in the Heart of Vienna
SchokoladeFest Wien combines a large chocolate marketplace with demonstrations, tastings and activities designed for both serious chocolate enthusiasts and families. Its setting adds another dimension to the experience. Marx Halle is a historic 19th-century industrial hall that has become one of Vienna’s distinctive event venues.
The 2027 festival is also part of the newly connected EuroChocoFest platform, which brings the Vienna festival together with Brno ČokoFest in the Czech Republic. The two events provide a Central European showcase for craft chocolate, gourmet products and international makers.

At the centre of SchokoladeFest Wien is its International Chocolate Market, where visitors can meet chocolatiers, bean-to-bar makers, pastry chefs and gourmet producers from across Europe.
The format allows visitors to discover unfamiliar brands, sample different styles of chocolate and purchase products directly from participating exhibitors. For makers, it also provides an opportunity to introduce their work to the Austrian market and connect directly with chocolate consumers.

Visitors looking to explore chocolate beyond the marketplace can take part in tastings and masterclasses. The programme is designed to include premium tastings, sessions featuring origin chocolates and specialist workshops.
