After a two-year break, Brno ČokoFest returns February 27–28, 2027, bringing chocolate makers, pastry professionals and gourmet producers back to the Czech Republic’s second-largest city. The two-day festival will take over 6,000 square metres of the Brno Exhibition Centre, combining chocolate discovery, shopping and hands-on experiences.
ČokoFest has been travelling to major Czech cities since 2012. Organisers report more than 36,000 visitors across the two most recent Brno editions, while the wider ČokoFest series attracts more than 450,000 visitors during a Czech season. For 2027, Brno joins Vienna’s SchokoladeFest under the new EuroChocoFest platform.
A Chocolate Festival Returns to Brno
Brno has a long association with major exhibitions. The BVV Brno Exhibition Centre dates to 1928 and is recognised for its Czech and Moravian functionalist architecture. Today, the sprawling complex is one of Central Europe’s major exhibition venues.
That setting gives ČokoFest room to offer much more than a traditional chocolate market. The 2027 visitor experience is being developed around five areas devoted to chocolate makers, demonstrations, tastings, workshops and families.
Discover Chocolate Makers from Across Europe
The International Chocolate Market brings together chocolatiers, bean-to-bar makers, pastry chefs and gourmet producers.
Visitors will be able to meet participating makers while tasting and purchasing products directly from exhibitors. The format also provides an opportunity to discover smaller brands and different approaches to craft chocolate from the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe.
The complete list of 2027 exhibitors has not yet been announced, so individual makers can be added closer to the festival.
Chocolate Comes to Life on Stage
A dedicated stage will host culinary demonstrations, pastry shows, tastings and cultural programming throughout the weekend.
Live presentations give visitors an opportunity to see how professional chocolatiers and pastry specialists work while learning more about the techniques behind their creations. A detailed 2027 stage schedule is expected closer to the event.
Explore Chocolate Through Tastings and Masterclasses
Chocolate enthusiasts looking for a deeper experience can explore the festival’s Tasting & Masterclasses programme.
Planned activities include premium tastings, sessions exploring chocolates from different origins and specialist workshops. These experiences provide a chance to move beyond simply eating chocolate and explore how ingredients, cacao origin and craftsmanship can shape flavour.
Make Chocolate, Not Just Taste It
Participatory workshops add a hands-on element to Brno ČokoFest. Visitors will be able to explore chocolate-making techniques and create their own chocolate during selected activities.
Families will have a dedicated Family Zone, combining chocolate making with creative and educational activities for younger visitors.
Vienna and Brno Create a Central European Chocolate Connection
Brno ČokoFest is one half of the new EuroChocoFest 2027 platform. The season begins with SchokoladeFest Wien in Vienna on January 30–31 before moving to Brno four weeks later.
The two festivals remain separate events, but their shared platform connects two neighbouring Central European chocolate markets. More than 100 international exhibitors participate across the EuroChocoFest network, according to the organiser.
